Biography
I first started taking photos when living in Europe using a simple point-and-shoot digital camera. The spectacular backgrounds and the diverse subject matter there and when travelling in Asia and America produced rewarding images that drew admiration.
Upon my return to Brisbane in 2005, I realised I had an eye for a good photograph. I became more serious about photography and launched myself into what has become a passion.
After my early days of shooting digital, I now shoot mostly film. In film, I discovered a romance and a nuance of character that I had not seen in digital. I develop and scan my own negatives in my home studio.

I shoot landscapes, portraits, street and reportage, each genre offering me something new and exciting. I use all kinds of cameras from plastic toy cameras to high-end DSLRs to quirky old film cameras. My every-day camera of choice is a Leica M6 without a light metre.
I almost always have a camera with me. You never know when that next great image presents itself. Seeing through a lens opens up a new way of viewing the world that continues to excite and captivate me.
